Reverse engineering
Lacon reverse engineering includes all services that make an existing, usually outdated or discontinued electronic system or industrial product possible to produce once again in line with current technology. Sub-assemblies are initially analysed before we extract their structure, components, conditions and methods of behaviour. Restructuring the updated components follows the often intensive research programme.
At the same time, we allow you to look in on the project at any stage – uncomplicated, direct and transparent.
Reverse engineering of sub-assemblies
- Gather all available paperwork
• Sub-assembly including all the available peripherals
• Test adaptations and programmes
• Create original part lists
• Functionally compatible redesign or replacement of obsolete elements - Replace selected sub-assemblies and develop functional redesign
- Reproduce design files, parts lists and Gerber data, if design files are not available
- Working sample required
If a high working proportion of the entire system is safeguarded by embedded software, you have the option of choosing between efficient reverse engineering and cost-effective new development. It often makes more sense to opt for a completely new development.
