We are making Karlsfeld greener again!

Press release of Karlsfeld municipality, economic development (Peter Freis): In 2018, the Lacon Group once again donated € 1,500 for the continuation of the nature project started the previous year. In April 2018, students of Karlsfeld middle school planted diverse bushes and shrubs. The highlight of last year’s campaign was the planting of an “oak of the century” by the CEO of the Lacon Group, Dr. Ralf Hasler, and Mayor Stefan Kolbe. At the same time, the weather station set up by Lacon in the Karlsfeld waterworks was activated for the internet on which, among other things, the growth of the oak is documented photographically. The weather station offers plenty of interesting information, and from April it can be called up via the start page of the Karlsfeld municipality website. The corresponding symbol is located in the bottom right-hand corner on the start page.On Friday, 29 March 2019, more than 30 students of Karlsfeld middle school, together with forester Franz Knierer of AELF and his employees will carry out further planting.At the end of the event on 29.03.19, a press conference will be held at 11.00. Dr. Ralf Hasler and Mayor Stefan Kolbe, together with students, will plant the “tree of the year 2019”, a large spreading elm (Ulmus laevis Pall.), in the future forest of Karlsfeld municipality.
