On 20 and 21 June 2018, around 400 delegates – including two members of Lacon’s sales team – met up at Würth Industrial Park in Bad Mergentheim to attend the Würth Technical Forum on C-parts management. Participants discussed the now ever-present, yet highly complex topic of Industry 4.0, together with all of its challenges and opportunities, from as many different angles as possible. Experienced speakers representing the fields of manufacturing, retail, business and consulting – such as lila Logistik and the Fraunhofer Institute – also offered a personal perspective on the central theme of ‘What Industry 4.0 means’. Würth Industrie Service presented several important new developments and ambitious solutions for industry. The ORSY®mat system, developed and produced in-house at Lacon, was also awarded the honour of being showcased as part of this presentation. This automated system for C-parts management offers full integration with the customer’s ERP or e-commerce system, with intelligent picking mechanisms and IT integration ensuring process reliability.
