This year’s Connector Users’ Congress, held from 2 to 4 July in Würzburg, once again brought together a top notch audience of engineers, manufacturers and distributors from industry and research. The CEO of the Lacon Group, Dr Ralf Hasler, and two Lacon sales staff mingled among the knowledge-hungry industry experts with the Group’s own Euroconnectors distribution stand. In addition to customised development and production services, with its independent Euroconnectors business unit, Lacon also provides a distribution partner and connector expert for exclusive customer wishes regarding any aspect of connectors and electromechanical components. Continuous individual professional development and networking with other visitors was the primary concern of the congress participants. Lacon used the opportunity to take part in diverse practical themed workshops, but also shared its know-how proactively with other major players in the industry: Together with Karl Ring of the Fraunhofer EMFT, on 04 July Dr Hasler held an in-depth talk on the influence of micromovements on connectors and their robust design.
