An internship or practical semester at Lacon gives you the opportunity to gain your first practical experience before or during your studies and to lay a good foundation for the start of your career. We take your individual wishes and requirements into account. Lacon is active in numerous sectors, including e-mobility, Internet of Things (IoT), rail technology, medical technology and mechanical engineering. This will give you a good insight into different sectors and you will benefit from a varied range of activities.

We celebrate our successes at joint Christmas parties, summer parties and excursions. We also regularly take part in sporting events. This strengthens our team spirit. A flat hierarchy and proximity to the management make it possible for our employees to think along with us and to contribute and develop as much as possible. Ideally, you should be studying electrical engineering or something similar at Bachelor's or Master's level. Internship

At Lacon, prospective electrical engineering students have the opportunity to complete a 6-week pre-study internship and gain their first practical experience. We take individual wishes and requirements into account. Not all internships are advertised. If you cannot find a suitable position in our job market, please send us an unsolicited application!

Practical semester

A practical semester at Lacon lasts 22 weeks and gives you a comprehensive insight into our company and the electronics industry. With us, you will learn everything about printed circuit boards, electromechanics, device and system construction, cable assembly and control cabinet construction using practical examples. A practical semester is the basic requirement for writing your thesis with us.

Final thesis

Would you like to write your Bachelor's or Master's thesis on a practical example and have already completed an internship semester with us? Then talk to us about the possibility of a thesis! We will be happy to discuss the topic with you individually, based on your knowledge and areas of interest. We are open to all possible topics in the field of electrical engineering.

Questions about the opportunities for students

Are you a student of electrical engineering or computer science? Then you are welcome to complete an internship semester with us, deepen your practical knowledge and lay a good foundation for your career start. A final thesis is possible after a successful internship semester with us.

Students of electrical engineering or computer science in their Bachelor's or Master's degree are welcome to complete an internship semester with us. Other degree courses are also possible, as long as they include one of these two areas. A pre-study internship is also possible.

In the area of software, the focus is on software development web frontend (HTML5, JavaScript, PHP). Also embedded software development on µC (bare-metal C).

In the field of hardware, the focus is on hardware-related embedded software development in the Linux environment (Yocto-Linux) and hardware development of digital circuits with KiCad.

We offer you extensive practical experience with a good basis for starting your career at Lacon. There is a good chance that you will be able to start at Lacon directly after your studies. An internship semester is also a prerequisite for writing your thesis with us.
